Ingredients:

1 pound dry fusilli pasta
1/3 cup olive oil, divided
1 package (20 ounces) Shady Brook Farms® Traditional Turkey Bratwurst
5 cloves garlic, smashed with flat side of knife
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or to taste
1 (1-pound) bag frozen chopped broccoli, thawed
1 red bell pepper, cored, seeded and cut into 1/2 x 1-inch strips
Salt and black pepper
Grated Romano cheese, optional

How to prepare this recipe:

  1. In large pot, cook pasta according to package directions; drain and return pasta to cooking pot.
  2. While pasta is cooking, in large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon oil over medium heat.
  3. Add bratwurst and cook, covered, until browned and cooked through.
  4. Remove from skillet; cut into 1/2-inch pieces and add to pasta.
  5. In same skillet, heat remaining oil; add garlic and chili flakes and cook just until garlic sizzles (don’t let it get too brown).
  6. Add broccoli and bell pepper; cook about 5 minutes.
  7. Add broccoli and bell pepper to pasta; season with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve with Romano cheese, if desired.
