Italian Turkey Pizza

Ingredients:

1 package Shady Brook Farms® 93/7 Lean Italian Style Seasoned Ground Turkey
2 tablespoons cornmeal
2 pounds whole wheat pizza dough
1 jar (25 ounce) pizza sauce
2 cups shredded Italian Cheese blend (Mozzarella, Fontina, Romano & Parmigiano)
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 purple onion, thinly sliced

How to prepare this recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Crumble and cook turkey in medium non-stick skillet until no longer pink, about 8 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Sprinkle each pizza pan with 1 tablespoon of cornmeal.
  4. On each pan, spread one pound of pizza dough. In order, top each pan with sauce, turkey, cheese, bell pepper and onion.
  5. Bake 20-25 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  6. Cool 5 minutes before cutting.
  7. Sprinkle with basil and serve.
